What if it happens suddenly?

I know you are already preparing for the weekend because today is Friday; wow! hurrah. I wish all of us a glorious weekend of peace and comfort but, what if the unexpected happens during this weekend? I know many people will say, "God forbid" as our usual style of making it known that we are all not prepared for the inevitables.

There are different types of things that could happen suddenly, viz:
  • Success;
  • Failure;
  • Birth, and
  • Death.
Promotion is inevitable; Progress is also inevitable. Giving birth is inevitable, and buying new things such as cars, houses, getting married and so on are all inevitables. All these are a success story to anyone who happens to witness any of the above and those good things not mentioned. While in the other categories there may be business collapse, you may be sacked from your office, you may lose all you have laboured and lived for; your marriage may collapse, and death to any of your loved ones or even yourself, are all part of the inevitables.

What if any of the above mentioned and the unmentioned happens to you suddenly? How prepared are you is the question I want to ask you before making that plans for the weekend and the new year ahead of us all?

Adam and Eve were not preparing for failure and death even while they were pre-warned of the inevitable, they ignored it, and it happened suddenly; and they were thrown out of their comfort zone into a new life of pains and agonies that now leads everyone of us into fear and death - Genesis 3 vs. 1 to end.

Cain was not prepared for failure even when all things were made available for him to succeed, and suddenly he experienced failure, and every other things collapsed along the line, including his life and future - Genesis 4 vs. 1 to end.

Noah with his family and all the people of the first generation destroyed were not preparing for the destruction after several warnings and cautions, yet it happened suddenly - Genesis 6, 7, 8 and 9.

The whole earth after the flood agreed to continue to be together and be of one language without consideration to the feelings of God, and suddenly the inevitable happened; their language was confounded and they were all scattered into different parts of the earth as we are today - Genesis 11 vs. 1 to 9.

Abraham was not prepared to get out of his family's house not to talk of his kindred or nation but, suddenly it happened - Genesis 12 vs. 1 to 8.

Abraham was not preparing for a life of agonies and pains but, along the line it happened suddenly when he was met with famine in the land he was asked to go and stay - Genesis 12 vs. 10 to 20.

Abraham was not expecting anything to go wrong between him and his brother Lot but suddenly, there was fight, hatred and rancour between their herdsmen, and they have to be separated from one another - Genesis 13 vs. 1 to 12.

Job was a lover of anything about God as written in Job 1 v. 1 that
"There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil."

But when he was least prepared the inevitable happened as written in Job 1 vs. 6 to 19 as follow:
"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the Lord said unto Satan, hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the Lord said unto Satan, behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: and there came a messenger unto Job, and said, the oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: and the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, the fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, the Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: and, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."

Job's story was mixed with pains and gains but, what if it happens to you; what will be your reaction and action? You cannot tell when the inevitable will be allowed in your life but, the question is "how prepared are you for this inevitable when it happens?"

Job was always conscious of everything and in everything because he didn't want to take anything for granted as written in Job 1 v. 5
"And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, it may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually."

Your righteousness is not the case here. Your unrighteousness is also not the case here. Being a Pastor or Minister of the Word is not even the case here as well but, the inevitables even in the face of your being loyal to God is allowed to happen. What will you do if God allows the inevitable to happen to you as He did to Job with all his good criteria before and with God?

Job was adjudged to be righteous before God but, the inevitable happened to him. Job said in Job 3 vs. 24 to 26 as follow:
"For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters. For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came."

Job was up and doing without slack but, the inevitable was allowed in his life. If you say it won't and it did, what will be your reaction and action, I asked again? How Job reacted to all that befell him was written in Job 1 vs. 20 to 22 as follow:
"Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell upon the ground, and worshipped, and said, naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly."

Can you do as Job did? Think about this my brothers and sisters right now; if the inevitable happens, will you still be able to trust in God and praise him?

A word is enough for the wise. May you have the courage to bear whatsoever comes your way when you least expect; in Jesus name. Happy weekend. See you next week, God willing.

Spread the news and share this link, and who knows, you may save a soul through this message. Remain blessed but, remember "what if it happens suddenly?"

That giant must fall for your sake

You have been under the siege of that giant for a longer period; it is high time for you to surmount that giant ruling your life. Can I hear you say, "amen". There are many different giants facing us differently on a daily basis but, I am assuring you this hour, that giant facing you and tormenting you all day long will fall for your and mine sake now in Jesus name.

Wait a minute! Can you truly identify that giant facing you and tormenting you? Oh yeah, I had you saying. You will have victory over that giant if you believe.

For forty years, Philistines kept on tormenting Israel, though they offended God, and God in turn, threw them into the hands of the Philistines; the tormenting and agonies of fears that engulfed them was too much for them to bear, and they had to turn to their God for deliverance, and the deliverance came.

If only you can truly and genuinely turn to God your maker from your sinful act then, you too, will experience a sudden fall of that giant tormenting your life day and night. In 1st Samuel 17 vs. 1 to 10 says,
"Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim. And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines. And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them. And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him. And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, why are ye come out to set battle in array? Am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? Choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. And the Philistines said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together."

Goliath talked exceedingly proud because he thought that Israel had no way out to make war with him talkless of a whole Philistines, so he defiled them and make mockery of them openly to the amazement of his country people. Likewise is that giant facing you keeps making mockery of you and continually defiling you to the amazement of the kingdom of darkness and their leader, Satan but, before the end of today, in the name that is above every other name, called Jesus, there shall be help from above to make that giant fall flat before you.

There was nothing Israelites could do to that giant facing them and mocking them than to be weary and be crying. In 1st Samuel 17 v. 11, it was said,
"When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid."

I want to assure you right away that help has come for you to make that giant fall for your sake. You will laugh and mock your mockers in Jesus name. You will defile those who are defiling you and your God in Jesus name.

God heard their cry, and decided to send help unto them through a small boy called David. It might not be as you are thinking but, according to the way of God, that is how your giant will fall. Everyone was looking at David as inexperience and too small to face the enormous task of defeating Goliath but, God was looking at David as the best candidate and the right weapon to make Goliath fall before Israelites.

Psalms 121 vs. 1 to 2 says,
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth."

David lift up his eyes unto the hills, and he sees God standing; he refused to be intimidated even when the Philistine came again repeating the same word as written in 1st Samuel 17 v. 23 but, in v. 26, it was said thus:
"And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, what shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?"

The first thing I want you to do to make that giant fall before you is to ask God, "what shall be done for you when you kill that giant and take away my reproach?"

Israelites thought it was a mere joke pertaining to what David had said but, everything said by David was orchestrated by God to prove He is still God in and of Israel. It was further buttressed in 1st Samuel 17 v. 32 as follow:
"And David said unto Saul, let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine."

What you needed most right now is courage, determination and faith to face that giant to submission. Those three weapons were carried along to the battle front by David to confront Goliath, and they all worked for and with him to make the giant fell.

God is not depending on your own strategy to make the giant fall but, on his own strategy. Ask God for ways to face your own giant to be able to fall for your sake. King Saul was counting and banking on the strategy he himself was unable to use against Goliath for David to use but, David reminded him that those strategy would be of no effect with him as written in 1st Samuel 17 vs. 33 to 39.

Like David, don't face your giant with other peoples strategy which you have not tested but, face them with the weapons you are used with in God, and that has worked for you in the past with God. Many do fall before their giants because they are using some other peoples weapons of war. God has deposited a winning weapon into your own hand, make use of it by inviting God into that weapon. Stop believing in others styles of fighting their battles or winning their battles, it may not be the same with you. Remember it is written about you in Jeremiah 51 vs. 20 to 23 as follow:
"Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; and with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; with thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of his oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers."

David knew with what God had deposited in his hand as God's battle axe and weapons of war, there's no way of escape for Goliath; he must surely fall. The battle axe of God and God's weapons of war are all in your hand, prove it against that giant, and witness the glory of God. Don't face that giant with another person's battle axe and weapons of war, it will fail you. In 1st Samuel 17 vs. 40 to 47 says,
"And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine. And the Philistine came on and draw near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him. And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance. And the Philistine said unto David, am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. And the Philistine said to David, come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. Then said David to the Philistines, thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands."

I want you to take a queue on the seven strategies David used to make the giant fell.
  • He uses his own tested weapon of war, and not that of any other person;
  • He acknowledged God above the weapons of his enemies and that of his own;
  • He confessed his victory over his enemies and their hosts;
  • He made a declaration that God will be glorified in his winning the battle against Goliath;
  • He made it known that those who witnessed his battle against Goliath will also praise God at the end of the battle along with him;
  • He professed that he was not the one fighting the battle but God, and finally;
  • He declared the fall of the giant before him.

Goliath thought it was a child's play, and he went forward to prove that David had no gut to face him in battle. In 1st Samuel 17 vs. 48 to 51 says as follow:
"And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philstine. And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewtih. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled."

That battle axe and weapons of war God deposited in your hand is enough to make that giant fall before you. The question now is "do you know that battle axe and weapons of war" in your hand that God could make use to fall that giant for your sake?

Yours may be "singing praises to God" while for others it may be "just doing good without expecting anything in return." And to some others it may be "consistent prayers for others", and it may be "preaching God non-stop" without fear or foe. I know mine, and that's why God has been there with and for me always. Find out yours and that giant will fall for your sake if only you can do as David did to make it happen for him and Israel; if not, you'll be at fault if your giant defeats you.

God will richly blessed you for buying or downloading a copy of my book through any of those links, and God will make your giant to fall for your sake before the end of this year.

A morning of fulfillment!

It's another beautiful morning and beautiful week full of expectations and fulfillment; yet, there's fear all over you on how to be fulfilled. If there was a night before this morning comes, then your own morning of fulfillment will surely come. Every night always comes with a beautiful morning of hope, fulfillment and great expectations. When it seems your night of sorrow, toiling and labouring without a commensurate reward will not come to an end or be turn into a beautiful morning, life becomes unbearable and unworthy of living.

That your dreams of so many years will surely come to realization. Joseph had a dream upon dreams of being great and being highly great yet, the way to be fulfilled seems unrealistic but, he was hopeful. Genesis 37 vs. 5 to 11 says,
"And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. And he said unto them, hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: for, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. And his brethren said to him, shalt thou indeed reign over us? Or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more his dreams, and for his words. And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, what is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying."

Listen carefully, it doesn't matter how long you have been dreaming dreams of a beautiful live, and yet, it has not materialised, a morning of fulfillment is certainly on the way; only if you can still persevere. It takes a lot to be fulfilled. From rejection to dejection; from hatred to envy; from frustration to loneliness; from stagnation to agonies; from lots of negative thoughts to committing suicide or to do otherwise to be fulfilled; are all glued to your being fulfilled in life but, if you can endure the pains, there'll will come a morning of fulfillment to reaps the gains of your pains.

Joseph went through a lot, even from his own blood brothers. Imagine the enmity against him in his own family! Imagine the hatred you are going through because you had a dream of becoming great! Imagine the pains and the agonies your dream is bringing to you instead of fulfillment expected! Imagine the trouble your soul keeps going through because you want to be fulfilled in life! If you can hold on to God, the only One who can make you fulfill then, your morning of fulfillment will surely come. Habakkuk 2 v. 3 says,
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

From age seventeen, Joseph became a victim of his own dream to greatness. From age seventeen, David also became a victim of becoming great as destined by God. At a point in time, Joseph wanted to cut corners to achieve his dream but, God denied him the fulfillment for another two full years. David also wanted to end it when it was becoming unbearable for him after being ordained and anointed as a King over Israel but, not yet fulfilled. But when Joseph morning of fulfillment came, it was like a dream he had been dreaming. Genesis 41 vs. 1 to 8 narrated how Pharaoh dreamed a dream which he couldn't understand because the morning of fulfillment for Joseph's big dream was to be fulfilled. In Genesis 41 vs. 9 to 14 came the beginning of the morning of fulfillment of Joseph's dream as thus:
"Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day: Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker: and we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged. Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh."

What a morning of fulfillment!

Your own morning of fulfillment is around, don't cut corners. Stop panicking, you will soon experience your own morning of fulfillment! Don't give up, your morning of fulfillment is closer bye.

It was a dream come true for Joseph. The morning of fulfillment he had been waiting anxiously for; for good thirteen years, finally came to manifestation. When Joseph finally got the interpretation of Pharaoh's dreams for him, Pharaoh had no choice than to obey God's command to make Joseph fulfilled as written in Genesis 41 vs. 38 to 46 says,
"And Pharaoh said unto his servants, can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, see, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; and he made him to ride in the second chariot which he has; and they cried before him, bow the knee: and he made him rule over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt."

What a glorious morning of fulfillment!

If we failed not, our own morning of fulfillment will surely come. If we do not cut corners, we will experience our own glorious morning of fulfillment. If we continue to put our trust in God, we will witness our own morning of fulfillment.

Joseph went through hell yet, he became fulfilled. Don't give up because of what you are going through presently, your own morning of fulfillment is by the way. Don't surrender your trust in God because of that persecution, hatred, envy, pains, agonies, frustrations, lack or whatsoever the name of that negativity may be; you will soon come to your own morning of fulfillment. Genesis 41 vs. 50 to 52 says,
"And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him. And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: for God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house. And the name of the second called he Ephraim: for God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction."

What a perfect morning of fulfillment!

If God could make Joseph to become the head and to rule over all his enemies when it was least expect, the same God, if we put our trust in Him till the end, will make me and you to rule over our enemies very soon. Don't give up; persevere, mine and yours morning of fulfillment will surely come.

If and when you fail to witness your own morning of fulfillment then, you are at fault. What is in that your title?

It is so amazing to note that a lot of so called children of God attached undue importance to "title" when it is obvious that it's not the title that will give them access to Heaven.

In the Dictionary.com, title was define in so many ways but, the one I am interested about is not the one given to a book or chapter of a book, etc. but, the one attached to a name; most especially in the Christendom, and not that of the world as "a descriptive or distinctive appellation, especially one belonging to a person by right of rank, office, attainment, etc."

Is title attached to a Christian name now a criteria to make heaven? Or a criteria to please God? Is title a criteria to be a true sons and daughters of God? If answer to all the above is “No” then, kindly help me to understand “what is in a title?” And if the answer is "Yes", please I need clarifications the more.

I went somewhere to minister unto souls and when it was time of introduction, the Master of Ceremony took up the microphone and began to announce the special guests, guests of honour, guest speaker and the rest. After all said and done, it came to the turn of this man, presume to be a man of God per se but, was shocked beyond imagination after the Master of Ceremony had introduced this man as “our father in the Lord, Reverend “so so and so”.  Immediately the Reverend gentleman stood up and said “point of correction. You have not introduced in a proper manner and as appropriate; "I am not only known as Reverend this or that but, with other titles as follow ‘Reverend, Prophet, Apostle, Doctor this and that, JP’.” Kindly do the introduction properly.

It is unbelievable the importance so many Christians attached to this so called title nowadays that it has become a trend without having an end. Does the title of being a "Pastor" or "Pastor in charge" or "Deacon/Deaconess" or "Prophet/Prophetess" or "Evangelist" or "Bishop" or "Reverend" and so on now signifies that such people are guaranteed to make it to Heaven first?

So many children of God with different titles have injured the personality of God in an un-immeasurable manner that makes one to start asking question in divers ways such as: "Can this one be truly a Pastor?" "Are you serious that this man is actually a Pastor-in-charge?" "Are you sure of what you are saying that this person is a Deacon or Deaconess?" This and so many more which also you yourself can attest to are known to you.

Pastors who backbite, deceived and plot their members downfall? Pastors who doctored lies as truth? Bishop who worshiped money as gods? Prophets who is a member or was a member of an occult? Deacon/Deaconess who belongs to the kingdom of darkness? Pastors who uses talisman to heal and perform divers kind of miracles? Reverend who lobbies for position and recognition in the world?

If title has anything to do with the Kingdom of God then, it will become obvious that whosoever that are without any title goes no where.  Jesus, in Luke 11 verses 37-44 says thus; "37. And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat. 38. And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner. 39. And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. 40. Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? 41. But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you. 42. But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 43. Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. 44. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them."

Titles with a lot of decays is meaningless and valueless. Titles with lots of wickedness is a mere one. Titles with so much wickedness in the carrier is insignificant. Titles with idolatory attached to it is a vain title.

To every title bearer doing contrary to the WILL of God, Jesus Christ said, "Woe unto you." That means, if you are carrying a title of a Pastor, Deacon/Deaconess, Prophet, Bishop, Evangelist, Reverend, and so on with lots of decaying factor along side, there's a woe attached to you as well.

Check the title you are portraying yourself with as a child of God; is it with value or no value? That title you valued so much may be the one to lead you to hell? If with all your titles you are not recognized before God in His Kingdom, what then become of you and your titles? Jesus in Matthew 7 verses 15-23 says, "15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

If that will be the case then, what is in a title that has no kingdom of God's value? Why carrying about titles to deceive others away from the Kingdom of God? Your title as a Pastor, Deacon/Deaconess, Pastor-in-charge, Bishop, Reverend, Prophets is meaningless without bearing the right fruit expected therein.

You will be at fault with all your titles if and when tested, and they are all without values before God. Ask yourself this honest question: "what is in the title I am carrying or knowing with; is it a decayed or Profit-making title?"

I have a good news for you

"And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; and I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws." (Genesis 26 vs. 1 to 5)

Can you do as Isaac did? Genesis 26 v. 6 says,
"And Isaac dwelt in Gerar."

God told Isaac as follow:

  1. Go not down into Egypt
  2. Dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of, and
  3. Sojourn in the land.

Where are you going for help? Where do you think your help will come from? Who do you think will help you out of that situation you are in presently? I have a good news for you, if only you can do as Isaac did; "your days of fulfillment is now in Jesus name" because your help comes from the Lord.

Despite the promises of God unto Isaac, and despite Isaac's obedience to the words of God, Isaac still encountered untold hardship, oppression, suppression where God asked him to dwell. Isaac refused to move out of the place nor felt battered because of what he was going through in that same place he was asked to sojourn. Isaac was almost reaped off of all his belongings including his wife and all he had sweated for in that same land but, he still kept faith with God of his father, Abraham by remaining in that same land God asked him to stay.

I have a good news for someone who is ready to listen and obey "your toiling without commensurate reward has come to an end in Jesus name" if you'll trust and obey God.

Isaac went through hell in the hands of the people of the land he sojourned with yet, he did not blinked eye as a result of this maltreatment he received from their hands. He knew that the Almighty God who spoke with him and promised him will surely fulfill His words. Genesis 26 vs. 12 to 14 says thus,
"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: for he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him."

I have a good news for someone reading this message "you will not be put to shame no matter what you have gone through and you are still going through now in Jesus name" because you trust and obey God.

I have a good news for you "in that same place you have been victimized and maltreated, you will become great, exceedingly great until your enemies are not able to contend with you anymore in Jesus name" because you trust and obey God.

I have a good news for you because you are ready to trust and obey God "you will reap abundantly well where you have been cheated and your enemies will remain confused about your changing situations to glory in Jesus name."

There's but only one thing I require of you to do henceforth according to the words of this song:
"When we walk with the Lord,
In the light of His word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Chorus: Trust and obey!
for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt nor a fear,
Not a sigh nor a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
Chorus: Trust and obey, etc.

Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey
Chorus: Trust and obey, etc.

But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows
And the joy He bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey.
Chorus: Trust and obey, etc.

Then in fellowship sweet,
We will sit at His feet,
Or we'll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
Chorus: Trust and obey, etc."

The only thing Isaac did that gave him the desired breakthrough, victory and prosperity in that same land he was asked to dwell and sojourn was "trusting and obeying" God. Proverbs 16 v. 20 says,
"He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he."

The good news I have for you is that if you will trust and obey God, before the end of this year, your story will change from

  • poverty to prosperity
  • shame to glory
  • obscurity to light
  • wretchedness to abundance
  • failure to good success
  • sickness to good health
  • sadness to happiness
  • sorrow to joy
  • relegation to upliftment
  • dishonour to honour.

In Jesus name it shall be so but, trust and obey God as Isaac had done. Remain blessed the more as you share this message with others.

And you are called...

What name are you called? Who gave you that name you are now being called? What prompted your being called by that name? Why would you retain that negative name you are now being called? When will you go for a change of name that is portraying you bad and unprofitable?

Answers to the above questions varies from one person to the other; in the sense that, the name you are being called is different from that of the other; the person that gave you that name is also not the same; the reasons for being called by that name is also different, and the reason you are still retaining that negative name till date is also different.

It is now left for you to reason beyond reasonable doubt on when you are ready to go for a change of that name portraying you unprofitable here and there. That name you are being called keeps hunting you and making you feel bad whenever you are being referred to as such and such. Times without number you have attempted to end your life unannounced but, God kept you from doing so because He still believes in you. You have even thought of doing some silly things to yourself or to remedy the situation through so many means, and yet, the wherewithal to do so denied you the ability.

There was a striking story in 1 Chronicles 4 vs. 9 to 10 as follow:
"And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."

What a name!

How could a mother named her own child "sorrow" because of what she went through at childbirth? Some were not even named as such at childbirth but, while growing up. Others were given such bad names while they were about starting work that will enhance their lives. So many others were given that unprofitable names at different time from different situations. The question is "how on earth should or would you continue with that unprofitable name?"

Jabez did few things to get a change of name as declared in the above passage as follow:

  • He called on the God of Israel;
  • He asked God to bless him indeed;
  • He sought for enlargement of his coast;
  • He requested for God's hand to be with him;
  • He asked God to also keep him away from evil, and
  • He pleaded with God not to be grieved.

Jabez did not asked amiss like you are doing. James 4 v. 3 says,
"Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."

Jabez asked God rightly, and he got answer to his request justifiably. Jabez did not only became more honorable than his brethren without going through some unwarranted shame and inglorious moment as you too are going through. Jabez did not seek any unknown God to help him solve his problem as you are doing right now. Jabez did not consult with the numerous gods around him at that time, as you are doing now; he consulted God of Israel.

There are many gods many of you are calling upon today to help you from your predicament without realizing that you are only compounding your case the more. Let me be honest with you; you may have received succour through other gods but, the end of that succour will prove otherwise when it dawned on you. No one has ever taking anything from the devil without the devil taking something worth more than what he has given out to you at the end. Your case may not be different from those whom Satan had dealt with for daring to help them change their negative names from inglorious to glorious.

It doesn't matter how long it will take God to change that negative name you are being called; what matters most will be your patient with God to make it real for you as he did for Jabez.

Abraham was called names when he was unable to bear children but, had to wait for the promise of God to change that bad name for good twenty-five years before being fulfilled; even while he tried to get reprieved from his wife's maidservant, which later became a terrible snare to him and the rest of us till date. Isaac contended with his own negative names before the name was also changed for good. Jacob had his own taste of the bad names before being changed to Israel.

Naaman, the captain of the Syrians in 2nd Kings 5 vs. 1 to 14 was also called a name that doesn't suits him for years before he met with God of Jabez, who later changed his name for good. The woman with the issue of blood in Matthew 9 vs. 20 to 22 for twelve years had to contend with that terrible name but, when she decided to meet with Jesus, the name she was called changed for good.

No matter the negative name you are being called for now, no matter how long it takes God to change that negative name for you, don't compromise; do as Jabez did, and you will experience a new name that will make you more honourable than your peers and generations in God. Don't consult with other gods who will take more than you bargain for at a later date in life; go to God Almighty with a genuine heart, and He will answer you as he did to Jabez; and you will be called with a new fruitful and more honourable name.

Your day of change to have a fruitful and more honurable name is now; take it, and you will be glad to be called...

Take Stock

It is my pleasure wishing you a happy Christmas. It is so awesome to note that you made it to the 12th Month in the year 2017. Wow! Aren't you happy that you made it in the midst of all the living? There are so many reason or reasons you might have been dead by now but, God averted it for you; have you ever bothered to ask why you among all?

Psalms 8 vs. 1 to 8 says,
"O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; the fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

The question here is in verse 4 of that quoted Bible passage above: "What is man, that thou art mindful of him?..."

What are you that make God to be mindful of you to have still being alive till date? What is the reason behind your making it to the 12th Month in 2017? What is so special about you that makes God to have kept you till date? What do you do differently from those that are dead that touches God's heart to have become so mindful of you?

Take stock now, and see if you will be able to come to terms of why God has been mindful of you. Take stock now to know if your ways are so perfect that makes God kept you alive till date. Take stock now to know what you are doing that is so special before God, and that warrant you being alive instead of being dead. Take stock now to see if you truly qualified to be among the living or among the dead.

Can your ways and acts justify your being alive today? Can your attitudes gives you a pass mark to warrant being alive till date? Can the works of your hands qualified you to be so special before God to be counted worthy of being alive till date? Is it your righteousness that opens the way for you to be in the 12th month of the year 2017? Take stock!

If you know that you didn't qualify to be among the living today but, grace of God was and is the reason for your being alive today, why don't you join me in appreciating God by singing along with me as follow:
"Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation;
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation;
All ye who hear, brothers and sisters draw near,
Praise Him in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee;
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
If with His love he befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord, who, when tempest their warfare are waging;
Who, when the elements madly around thee are raging;
Biddeth them cease, turneth their fury to peace,
Whirlwinds and waters assuaging.

Praise to the Lord, who, when darkness and sin is abounding;
Who, when the godless do triumph, all virtue confounding;
Sheddeth His light, chaseth the horrors of night,
Saints with His mercy surrounding.

Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him!
Let the amen sound from His people again:
Gladly for aye we adore Him."

Take stock over and over again and see that the Lord is good to you. Remain blessed as you journey on to the year 2018 with full of life.

Let others benefit from and through this blog by spreading the news herein and sharing the blog. Your life will experience a new dawn of glory.

It won't last long

Here comes another beautiful day but, with something new to learn and know. And if you already know you may be thinking it wouldn't be so but, I am telling you categorically that "it won't last long."

If you know how to pretend, it won't last long. If you know how to dislodge others of their properties or belongings to make them yours, it won't last long. If you know how to kill for no just cause or for the purpose of getting rich, it won't last long. If you know how to cheat others to reap their sweat, it won't last long. If you know how to destroy others to get undue advantage over them, it won't last long. If you know how to make up and tell lies against someone who is innocent in order to get that person into trouble, it won't last long.

More so, if you know how to change women as garment, it won't last long. Even if you know how to jump from one man's bed to another man's bed, it won't last long. If you also know how to do evil without recourse to the aftermath effect, it won't last long. If you know how to bribe your ways to achieve greatness, it won't last long. No matter what you know how best to do through evil none of them will last long. Come to think about this, if you know how to use power to victimize others or to stigmatize others, it won't last long. If you also trust in your ill-gotten wealth or riches or position to afflict others in life, it won't last long.

Let us briefly go into the scripture for some example. Luke 16 vs. 19 to 31 says,
"There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: and there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham affar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, they have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."

There are a lots of lessons to learn and know from the above Bible reference, and they are as follows:
  • The rich man thought he would continue to enjoy without end but, he was rudely shocked to know that all he had and was enjoying on earth won't last long.
  • The rich man thought he would continue to live the same life he was living on earth after death but, was again shocked to find himself in the place of torment.
  • The rich man also thought Lazarus would continue to suffer the same fate he suffered while he was on earth after death but, he, again, was caught with a wide shock.
  • The rich man, even, after noticing he was in place of torments and being in agony, still want to be ordering people about but, the case was not the same again.
  • The rich man also thought he could change the hands of clock to favor his brothers left behind in earth, but was told how impossible it would be.
  • The rich man thought he would be respected after death even while in the place of torment but, the case was not as expected.
Now, take a look at your lifestyle as at now, do you think it will last long? What about your ways of life, do you think it will also last long? Let us ponder on the ways you have been maltreating others to fall away from the right track, do you also think this will last long? What about your kidnapping business, do you still think it will last for long? Think about your waywardness, are you still in the belief that it will last long?

If, with everything that rich man had, and none of them was able to save him or last long for him to continue to oppress as he was used to while in earth, what gives you the impression that what you have or what you are doing will last long either?

This is a call to think about who you are right now. This is a call to think about your end. If for any reason, you think you can continue to change someone's destiny or tied someone's destiny from being fulfilled, let me tell you point blank that this won't also last long.

There are many other notable examples beside you that you know about, which of them last longer than you thought? There are other incidence you can pinpoint all around you, do they last long? If you have seen the end of the wicked, you will know that yours will not also last long. If you have seen the end of tyranny, it is a warning signal to you that yours won't also be different.

If you have seen the end of being a hooker or armed robber or hired assassin or kidnappers or adulterers or killers or power drunk people or witches or wizards or sorcerers, there's no way yours will last long and be different.

Think and re-think before you continue in that same attitude of no one can catch up with me; I am telling you sooner than expected, the hands of the clock will be turned against you, and by then, you will know that nothing last long.

Don't be at fault as the case of that rich man; it won't be surprising where you will find yourself if you continue to think that what you are doing and who you are presently will last long; IT WON'T LAST LONG. Remain blessed as you also pass this message across to others, and also make this blog known to others.

Don't be enticed

There are so many reasons we cannot all be free from being enticed to either forsake the right path or fall into temptation. Situations all around us are an attempt to get us enticed to do the wrong thing to the detriment of our souls. It is not your making falling into that temptation but, you are being enticed by a stronger spirit than you to do so.

Being a prostitute is not by your making, you are enticed by forces beyond you. Being an armed robber is not what you bargained for in life but, greater forces are behind your falling for it. Being a hired assassin was not in your heart but, forces stronger than you pushed you into doing so. Being into one criminal activities or the other was not as a result of your initial plan but, you are being enticed into doing it as against your will.

It doesn’t matter how long you have been enticed to do what you didn’t expect yourself doing, you can still stop, though it may seem difficult to do. You are being enticed to the wrong thing because you have a greater future lying ahead of you; but the devil and all his kingdom of darkness do not want you to fulfil that greater destiny. The reason behind your falling into that evil you are doing was and is because you will be a terror to Satan and his kingdom of darkness, and all his agents of evil on earth if you are allowed to do the right thing to fulfil that destiny of yours.

Samson was not prepared for what happened to him for no just cause; it was to destroy his destiny. Esau was not in anyway bargained for losing his birthright to his junior brother but, because the devil doesn’t want him to be fulfilled. Judas Iscariot was not the only one among the disciples of Jesus Christ, it was the devil who chooses him to do evil against his own soul and that of an innocent Saviour of the whole world.

Owing to your not being conversant with the wiles and devices of the devil, you have been enticed wrongly for destruction. Samson in the book of Judges 14 vs. 1 to 20 was the first experience of how Samson began to fall for the devil’s enticement. When it seems all attempt to get him was failing, Samson’s wife was used against him to entice him to fall for destruction; and he did.

You too, can be enticed to fall for destruction through any means and by anyone; it doesn’t matter whether they are your blood or an outsider, but definitely it will be through someone you highly respected or have regard for as a result of his or her influence on you. You can also be enticed through monetary, material, spiritual, emotion and other means; just for you to fall for destruction in the hands of God. If you cannot be able to discern well enough, you will be enticed to fall for destruction.

Eve, our ancient mother, was caught in the web of enticement; and she fell for it and got destroyed. Your fallen for that thing enticing you or for that person enticing you is a snare to bring you to destruction; don’t fall for it.

Adam through his wife was enticed to do the wrong thing, and they fell for Satan and got battered in the process beyond their imagination. Abraham also through his wife was enticed to go against the plans of God for his life; he fell for it and also got battered at the end. Esau, because of hunger was enticed to surrender his birthright, and got the shock of his life. King David through lust for women got enticed into adultery, and he fell for it. The result was not pleasant at the long run. So many people who are being enticed to do wrong thing got battered for doing so at the end.

For you still being alive to know this and hear about this evil befallen you, means you still have an opportunity to get out of being destroyed. Don’t get enticed to fall for destruction; there’s still something good about you, only if you can retrace your steps out of the trap of destruction. Don’t get enticed. Have a wonderful day and remain blessed.

Pillars of a good and successful marriage

Your marriage success does not depend on how long you've been married but, how well you are able to manage the ups and downs therein. Any marriage therefore, constituted based on the physical structures, may, at the end of the day, not be able to stand the test of time. Marriage is not controlled in the physical but in the spiritual. There are structures that must be put in place before, during and at all time in your marriage; and the moment one of these structures collapsed, it can collapse your marriage without remedy.

I want to discuss briefly one of the structures of a good and successful marriage (an excerpt from my upcoming book on marriage but not into details here). Watch out!

The first pillar of any good and successful marriage is Love. Love is the foundation of any good and successful marriage. But, today, many are so blinded with lust that they tend to say “there’s no love” anymore. I want you to know something here that "anyone who says “there’s no love” anymore" is also dead of love. You can’t give what you don’t have, and you can’t have what you don’t and can’t give.

There is a mystery behind the word “Love” and that’s the major problem everyone is having today. To uncover the mystery in and behind Love is not physical but, spiritual. A lot of people can’t uncover the mystery in and behind the word “Love” because their thinking is physical and not spiritual. More so, majority of these people are not ready to give in love and take in love. Whenever I hear someone says, “I love you” it makes me shiver. Why, you may ask?

The first question that comes into my mind is always "does this person saying “I love you” actually and truly know the in-depth meaning of what he or she is saying?" Whenever you are saying to someone "I love you" it goes beyond that level and deeper than what you are saying. How? Whenever you say “I love you” in a simple terms it means “I, GOD, and YOU.” From this point of view, you can now ask yourself a simple question as "do I truly meant what I just said to that person?" Reason being that, if you, who is saying “I love you” don’t truly know God in the real sense of it, then you can't possibly mean what you are saying to that person involved. How?

The book of 1st John 4 vs. 7 to 8 says,
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

Let us examine the above critically. To be able to love in truth and indeed, you must first understand that
  • Everyone that will love must first know that love is of God;
  • Everyone that will love must be born of God;
  • Everyone that will love must know God;
  • Everyone that do not love does not know God; and
  • Everyone that will love must know for certain that God is love.
Therefore, for you to say "I love you” means you are entering into a covenant with another person while also involving God therein. So, when you involved God it means you are in the know of the above quoted passages well enough to
  • Be able to chase out Satan from your life and your relationship;
  • Know that you don't have to love only yourself anymore;
  • Know that you are now being controlled in love through and by the presence of God in that relationship;
  • Know that henceforth, you will love your partner without any iota of doubt till death do you part;
  • Know that nothing will eventually come between the two of you because God is involved fully;
  • Know that since God is involved, you will be able to weather any storm together in that marriage; and
  • Know that you will always allow God to prevail no matter the condition.
Now, going into the 1st Book of Corinthians 13 vs. 1 to 3, you will also notice some truth as follow:
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (love), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity (love), I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.”

The above passage is also buttressing the truth about your knowledge of God beyond reasonable doubt as to why and how it will guarantee your success in that marriage; and this is simply saying, if and when you can speak in diverse tongues of men and of angels, but love (God) is missing in you, it means,
  • You are just making an empty noise within and without in that marriage.
  • You are just wasting each others time for no just cause in that marriage.
  • You are only an empty barrel seeking for undue attention of the passers-bye in that marriage.
  • You are nothing but just someone trying to keep on making irrelevant trials on each other in that marriage.
Taking a queue from the above quoted passages is the more reason you’ll see, even among the so-called men of God or so-called Christians of today, love (God) is missing in their homes with all the anointing they possessed. Many of them keep giving reasons why they should keep changing women based on their knowledge, and also back it up with Bible verses. The reality of the matter is that they don’t know or have God in them.

From the above (last) quoted passages, it is further saying, even if you get all the wealth and riches of this world, and without love (God), you are nothing. More so, if you are giving to unnecessary attention by dishing out, virtually all that you have to get relevance, and without genuine love (God) in you, it won’t bring any profit or gains to you at the end.

So, if truly you will love that person as you proclaimed with your mouth, don't you think it calls for a serious thought before saying "I love you" to that person and after saying so? Will you now, in the face of any challenges in that marriage retract your "I love you" words? Will you say, when storms in that marriage comes that "it was a mistake, I didn't truly meant the word "I love you"?

When you minus the true love in your marriage, you'll get fake in return; and that's the time you'll hear people saying “there’s no true love” anymore? For instance, when you were born to this world, and prepared to go to school to study, has it ever crossed your mind that you can't be promoted to the next class without passing the examination of that present class you are? So likewise, in your marriage, you have to pass each class examination to get going in that marriage; and this does not come at the same time of your study. Your marriage examination comes as you progress in that marriage; and you must be prepared for it because you have a great teacher involved in that marriage from the beginning. The moment you fail to consult with your great teacher whenever a question is thrown to your face by the marriage examiner "Satan and his forces of darkness" then know for sure, that your marriage will crashed; just as some people do crashed out of their program of studies either at junior or senior or higher or degree or master or doctorate level for a reason beyond their control.

Therefore, if your marriage is not laid on this first pillar of a good and successful marriage which is ‘Love’, there’s no way you will and can enjoy that marriage on the long run. You may have all it takes to enjoy that marriage but, without God in it, that marriage is absolutely nothing. That marriage will profit you nothing. That marriage will just become as a sounding brass or as a tinkling cymbal. That marriage will become a thorn in the flesh to you.

Should you desire to learn and know more, feel free to contact me on this topic. To the glory of God, I have been married for over twenty years and still waxing strong on a daily basis but not without passing my own marriage examination to move on in life too, successfully.

Your marriage success is of huge concern to God; don't throw it into the dustbin, be prepared to lay everything down for its success.

Easier said than done

It is something worrisome to me that most people living today says one thing and do another. This attitude ranges from different homes to the outside world. Deceit is all we now embrace as a way of life. No one is ever sincere to the core. Little lies with little smartness is the motto of virtually everyone today. The most annoying thing is that even Churches of God, Pastors, Ministers of the Word, and so on are not spared of this attitude of "easier said than done".

Some will even swear to deceive you in order for you to believe what they are saying. What a life! Life of deceit had gradually spread into every part of our lives, homes and nations. It is one thing to say something it is another thing to see it actualized.

The question here is "why do you say it when you know it's not going to be done?" Do you remember your new year resolution to God with a vow to fulfill it? Do you remember your promises to your wife or husband at the beginning of this year? Do you remember your oaths to your children to support them come what may? Do you remember your promises to your parents to turn a new leaf? Do you put to mind your vow to your business partners not to cheat?

When you know your nature that it may not be possible for you to do what you have promised God, why then promise without doing it? Matthew 5 vs. 33 to 37 says,
"Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: but I say unto you, swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil."

For the fear of being rejected, many do say but, refuse to do. For the fear of losing relevance, many promise but never fulfill it. For the avoidance of doubt, many cover their faces under the pretence of say but don't do.

God promised the whole world salvation through Jesus Christ, He fulfilled it to the letter. Jesus Christ promised us life in abundance, and till date He is still fulfilling it to the core. But nowadays, from the pulpit, you will be hearing something like "don't you know I am human."  So before you say what you say you don't know that you are human! You will also hear some saying "do as I say but don't do as I do because I am still in the flesh."  What is the justification of your statement then?

Some will even go to the extent of saying, " the spirit wishes but the flesh is weak."  Since you know that the spirit wishes but the flesh is weak why then do you have to go that length of saying what you won't be able to fulfilled?

Jacob vowed a vow and he fulfilled it to God in Genesis 28 v. 20 to 22 as follow:
"And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, if God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, so that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God: and this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee."

So many people have promised God in order to get what they want from God, and when the time of fulfilling their own part of the bargaining came, they resulted into "God understand!" They keep postponing their own day of fulfilling their promise to God. In Genesis 31 v. 13, God reminded Jacob of his vow unto him as follow:
"I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred."

Jacob did not give excuses why that won't be possible again like many of us use to do today. He called all his families together and informed them of his vow unto God, and they all agreed with him to go in order for him to fulfill his vow unto God.

Take a look at your life, have you fulfill your own path of the bargain to God when he had done that which you required of him unto you? What about the "for better for worse" you promised your wife or husband during your marital vow? What about your vow of "till death do us part" during your marital vow? What about "I will love thee in sickness or in health" you said while you are getting married?

If you know you can't do what you are about to say, don't even dare say it. Let it be the way it suppose to be. Little foxes that are spoiling our vine are from this "easier said than done" attitude of you and I.

May we all be ready to retrace our steps back to do what is right, say what we can do in order to experience God in His infinite mercy that will bring us all to fulfillment in life. Remember, don't let "easier said done" be a stumbling block to your greater tomorrow or else you may be at fault.
